Lee Robinson on if NextJs client components are bad

I really like this short video that Lee Robinson, the VP of Developer Experience at Vercel - the creators of NextJs, put out a few days ago:

The main takeaway is that we can gradually adopt all the new features that are introduced in NextJs.

All of the new changes such as client components, the app router, and many others have been released at quite a fast rate and can become overwhelming.

But we can take our time and gradually adopt them and ease into all the new features.

For example, now that we have access to NextJs sever actions it does not mean that the client components are a bad thing. We can still do something like useEffect() and fetch data like that if the situation requires it.

Or even using the pages directory is ok.

There is time to adopt all the new features šŸ§˜ā€ā™‚ļøā˜Æ!
